Crews installed pavement markings between Henderson Street on the west end and Dixie Trail over the weekend. But, due to a few technical problems, and the rain on Sunday night, they were not able to complete the job.
Today, Monday, June 25, crews are working on the side streets, grinding out old pavement markings and installing the new ones. As of noon, the team had finished Brooks Avenue and were moving to Rosemary Street. Crews will close the side streets temporarily to install the new pavement markings.
Raleigh Paving is also doing some spot work on the pavement at a few of the side streets along the corridor.
There will be one more road closure required this week. There is a good possibility for rain tonight and tomorrow, so crews are scheduled to complete the pavement markings on Wednesday night, June 27.
