Last fall the City of Raleigh’s Public Utility Department broke ground on a utility project that runs along Concord Street, Stanhope Avenue, and Rosemary Street. The project’s proximity to the Hillsborough Street’s Project has raised some questions from residents and businesses along the corridor.
The Public Utility Department has shared with us that the project is nearing completion with the remainder of work confined to Rosemary Street. The bulk of the work is scheduled to be complete in early October. Below is a timeline for the balance of work on this project.
September 19-23, installation sanitary sewer lines and sewer laterals to service homes is scheduled
September 22-30, water lines and services to homes are expected to be installed
October 3-4, concrete, restorations work to curb gutter and sidewalks
October 5-7, Raleigh Paving will, patch, mill and overlay the asphalt
October 10-28, miscellaneous punch list work will be completed (punch list work will not require and road closures)
Construction schedules are subject to change, due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
